DiGi YOUTH 2.0 Conference: Exploring Gamification, Digitalization, and AI in Education

On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, European Dialogue, in collaboration with FMK UCM, organized the DiGi YOUTH 2.0 Conference in Trnava. This event brought together project partners, youth workers, academics, and professionals to discuss key advancements in digital youth work, focusing on gamification, digitalization, and artificial intelligence (AI) in education.


The conference featured two panel discussions that explored the benefits and challenges of these innovative approaches in education and youth work. Experts from various fields provided insightful perspectives on:


Gamification in the Educational Process: How game-based learning strategies can enhance engagement and knowledge retention. Panelists included Jakub Žaludko (Impact Games), Ali Honaramiz (The Future Now), and Martin Paučin (Faculty of Mass-Media Communication, UCM).


 AI in Education and Youth Work: The role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of education and its impact on youth work. Speakers included Rastislav Zábojník (Faculty of Mass-Media Communication, UCM), Adam Laták (NIVAM- Slovak National Agency for Erasmus+ and ESC), and Yasin Özarslan (Yasar University).


In addition to expert discussions, attendees had the opportunity to engage in a practical workshop on gamification, led by Monika Kmeťová from European Dialogue. The event also provided a valuable networking space, fostering new collaborations and creative ideas for future projects in digital youth work.
