DiGi YOUTH Media Manual

DiGi YOUTH Media Manual gives youth workers and organisations a helping hand to use the opportunities and be ready for requirements and challenges related to media making, public communication, and use of data and information within their activities. As they help engage with and support young people of various backgrounds, media are important not only for digital but also inclusive youth work. Based on the media and information literacy knowledge and professional experiences, the Media Manual facilitates the development of competences needed to involve (digital) media in successful youth work and its effective promotion – e.g. create and use quality media content, critically assess information, process personal data in line with the current legislation, and communicate with journalists and other media makers

DiGi YOUTH Media Manual provides the readers with many useful insights into relevant topics, list of suitable media making tools, tips and recommendations, and carefully selected examples of good practices from Europe and beyond. It also summarises the media-related competences to be acquired by youth workers and organisations’ staff through DiGi YOUTH events and products.
