Hey People Video Showcase

HEY PEOPLE is organizing an online event for the Bulgarian participants of the online challenge!  In the last few months, through storytelling workshops and other activities, we have been inviting young people to create their own video to tell alternative stories of the workplaces and the gender-based stereotypes we face there. In this final, online event, we will watch the final videos together, and announce the winner for Bulgaria!

About the project

HEY  PEOPLE! is a project with a main objective to battle the gender  stereotypes prevalent in online spaces that negatively influence young  people’s professional careers. Social media often reinforces these  stereotypes, and we believe it is important that we increase the  awareness about this and counter assumptions. By stimulating young  people’s creativity, we help them counter the negative expectations for  themselves, altering the harmful images created by social media. We  provide a safe environment to facilitate young people’s discourse around  this issue to help them tackle gender stereotypes in job recruitment.  The project is co-financed by the CERV Programme of the EU (Funded by the European Union under Grant Agreement 101087379)
